'Sweet Sun Relief'™ Midge Barrier & Sun Protection Cream

Sweet Sun Relief™ Cream is a plant-based barrier cream created especially for the heat of summer. It forms a defence against midge bites, promotes calm skin, and includes SPF 30+ sun protection — meaning it can be applied at any time of day without risk of sunburn.

Apply daily to target areas. The recommended method is to use your fingers to scoop some cream, then gently massage into the skin. For maximum sun protection, a visible layer will need to be retained, and the product will need to be re-applied 2–3 times daily.

A 500ml pot should last around 3 weeks in high season. Skin should start to appear revitalised and retextured within a week.

Q: Why would you use Sweet Sun Relief™ instead of other products in the Sweet Relief range?
A: It can be used in direct sunlight without risk of melting or sunburn, ideal if you can only tend to your horse in the morning and it's going to be turned out all day. Secondly, it is ideal all-day protection for UV-sensitive skin (often pink).

Q: What is the consistency of the cream?
A: Due to the mineral sunscreens, it is quite a lot thicker and whiter than the other creams in the range, and doesn't absorb fully into the skin. This is useful as you can see exactly where it has been applied.

Q: Is it waterproof?
A: It is more waterproof than the other creams in the range, and will withstand a rain shower or a drink at the trough.

Q: Is this a safe form of sunscreen to use?
A: Yes, mineral sunscreens such as zinc oxide and titanium dioxide sit on the skin's surface and deflect the sun's rays, rather than absorbing into the skin and then bloodstream.

Q: How often do I need to apply it?
A: Apply daily to target areas. For maximum sun protection, re-apply 2–3 times daily to maintain a visible layer.

Q: Is it suitable for pink or sensitive skin?
A: Yes — it has been specifically formulated with sensitive and UV-sensitive skin in mind.
