SuperFly® spray and gel represent a new generation of insect repellents - not only do they create a protective shield from biting bugs, but they also care for the skin and are a pleasure to use. Initially trialled by our customer panel back in 2021 on a range of insects including New Forest crab flies (legendary for their ability to land, crawl and avoid extermination) and horse flies, these are now far and away our best-selling fly repellent products.
* 24 hour patch test before use, ideally on an inconspicuous area such as the armpit.
* Spray evenly onto exposed areas, morning and evening (or as required) in the peak insect season.
* During customer trials, the spray and gel were particularly effective at repelling crab flies when used together.
Our trigger sprays arrive in the 'off' position. To adjust the spray, twist the nozzle at the and to the right [see the video]. It will produce both a fine mist and a jet.
It includes the following ingredients:
Icaridin - a proven powerful broad-spectrum human-grade repellent that will repel midges, mosquitoes, flies including horse flies; mites and ticks for 7+ hours at this concentration (20%)
Lavandin - an essential oil that itself has impressive repellent properties but is also known for its ability to calm the skin. Naturally antiseptic, it's thought to support the skin's healing process and reduce the appearance of marks and scars. Often used to relieve cramps, stiffness and pain in muscles, as well as assist with respiratory and circulation issues.
More sensitive skins may be better suited to SuperFly Sensitive.
It does NOT contain any N,N-Diethyl-meta-toluamide (DEET) or pesticides.

"Simply the best, most effective fly spray I have ever used. Keeps midges, flies and horseflies away. The spray is excellent, never leaks like other brands and gives great coverage. As it has such a fine mist my bottle lasts much longer than the brand used on my boy’s field mate and smells far better as well. Excellent stuff!"

"Not sure if it repels or not. Covered my mare in it as she was clearly distressed. 12 hours later combed a crab fly off her. She probably already had it but it didn't choose to leave or die. Will use as repellant but not convinced it is really effective. Smells nice and good spray mechanism."

"This spray really works. The smell is pleasant. It’s easy to apply. I’ve just ordered again and while waiting for it to arrive I’ve bought a known brand super spray with deet to use in the meantime. Today rode out with one horse wearing the last of the Biteback bottle, and the other horse in the other spray. The horse in the other brand was constantly bothered by flies whilst the the horse wearing Biteback was absolutely fine. Really couldn’t get a better comparison."

"I have used Biteback products for many years and wouldn’t use any other brand now. I have just bought the Superfly Ultimate Strength Insect spray for the first time and will definitely order again. Monty is very sensitive to flies but with this spray our rides are fly free and in the field he is very noticeably less bothered by the flies. It smells great too.
