'Mudbar Plus'™ Antibacterial Cream With UV Filter

Mudbar Plus™ cream is ideal for equine skin that's distressed by the elements, whether that be rain or shine.

Regular wetting of horses’ coats and skin (due to rain or mud exposure, sweat or even excess shampooing) can affect the skin’s condition. Legs and feet are particularly at risk when fields become water logged in the winter and spring. In the summer months, skin can become cracked, dry, and sensitive to sunlight.

Mudbar Plus has been around for 10+ years but the formula has been upgraded for 2025, making the cream even more effective, long lasting and able to maintain the skin’s condition, even with the extremely wet winters
we now seem to be experiencing. This new formula has been approved by our own equine vet practice who now recommend and sell it to their customers.

The benefits of this non-steroid, gentle and safe formula: -

* Forms an antiseptic shield, blocking the entry of microbes and other environmental irritants

* Highly water resistant, providing long lasting support for the skin’s natural barrier

* Filters UV light (which can trigger skin sensitivities)

* Protects skin from dehydration due to its intensely moisturising, mild formula

* Soothes and calms

* Supports hair and skin renewal

* A significant improvement in appearance should be seen within 7 days of use, and often sooner

Also recommended for moisturising mallenders, sallenders and other patches of excess keratin.

Always patch test first, on an inconspicuous area such as the armpit.

Before first use on the target area, remove as much mud as possible by very gently brushing.  If necessary, wash the area with warm salty water or Biteback's Sweatbuster.  Thoroughly dry, ideally finishing with a drying powder such as Biteback's Flowers and Zinc before applying the cream.  Avoid frequent wetting after this first application.

Continue to apply the cream twice a day to target areas.

A clear difference should be seen within a week.

Once any hard crusts have fallen off, the Quick-Silver Spray can be used to maintain healthy skin.

Traditional, safe ingredients include: Silver ions, Sublimed Flowers of Sulphur, Benzyl Benzoate, Allantoin, Titanium Dioxide.

The sunscreen is an inorganic, naturally occurring mineral.
